Again another task of my XP rebuilds, the latest version of Firefox gives you this message when you try to install the (fantastic) British Dictionary addon
British English Dictionary 1.19 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 2.0.0.3. (British English Dictionary 1.19 will only work with Firefox versions 2.0b1 to 1.0b2)
I found this on the problem
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=2832643
And I have created this
http://russtaylor.co.uk/files/british_english_dictionary-1.19-fx+zm+tb-tweaked_for_FF_up_t_ver_3.xpi
Open the file with Firefox or save it and drag and drop it into Firefox (can someone tell me if this works on a Mac please?)
Off topic – I know but … I just wanted to send an enormous thank you for coming up with such an easy solution to fix the British English Dictionary problem in Firefox. I’ve forwarded on this solution to many friends too.
I’m glad I visited some more of your blog too. I’ve been a cloud fan (and water colour painter of clouds) for decades and never knew (until now) there was an appreciation society devoted to this.
You’re very welcome
I’m surprised the dictionary wasn’t fixed by its author. If you haven’t already get the book “The Cloud Spotters Guide”, it’s pretty interesting
